Laughter as Healer

Why don’t you love laughing when you meet your whole family, friends and co-workers? Do you know the secret of laughing?. At this time, I share what i know after reading text on importance of laughing. Do you know?. Stress, headache, tension, fear, and other things have always happened because of complicated works and pressure of time at workplaces, pressure of family’s burdens, broken family and so on. Thousands of years ago a wise man by the name of Solomon wrote his famous proverbs as saying “A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a brushed spirit dries up the bones.”

  • There are now clear evidences that laughter can be a strong painkiller. In addition, laughter can enhance respiration, produce morphine like molecules called endorphins, increase the number of disease-fighting immune cells, reduce stress, stimulate the internal organs, and improve the circulation of the blood (Hal Urban: Life’s Greatest Lessons, 2003). And then, a joyful heart and laughter should be part of our daily routine.

  • In addition, laughter has been known to soothe jangled nerves, reduce tension, calm tempers, stimulate creativity, and simply make life a lot more fun.

  • Actually, laughter is more than practical. It’s essential. It is one of the chief ingredients of mental health. We have a genuine need to take a break from life’s harsh realities-to act like a nut, to roar with laughter, to delight in the absurd, to chuckle at cartoon, to tell and hear jokes, to see funny stories, and to do wacky things. There is wisdom in the ancient proverb that tells us. “A little non-sense now and then is relished by the wiser of men.”
