As I told all of you previous article that I now am reading the book “The Success Principle”. And I reached one point relating to how to motivate employees. In this point, the consulting firm conducted survey with 200 companies on the subject of what motivates employee. The result of survey is different between employer and employee’s motivators as follow:

Employees: needing motivators from their own entrepreneurs are Appreciation; Feeling “in” on things; Understanding attitude; Job security; Good wages; Interesting works; Promotion opportunities; Loyalty from management; Good working conditions and Tactful discipline.

Supervisors or Employers: offering motivators to their employees are Good wages; Job security; Promotion opportunities; Good working conditions; Interesting work; Loyalty from management; Tactful discipline; Appreciation; Understanding attitude; and Feeling “in” on things.

Comparison of the above result was shown that the need of employees’ motivators are “Appreciation; Feeling “in” on things; and Understanding attitude”. So Good wages are not important for employees if their work environments are not good. That is the point that entrepreneurs never think about because they do not think so much about employees’ feelings.
