What happens after raining?
After heavily raining, there are the difficulties travelling on the public streets in Phnom Penh because of flooded streets and traffic jam. Flooding is cause by drainage stystem full with wasted material threw by residents. On the other hand, new buildings are booming throughout the capital but the developers are not likely to care about preparation of the infrastructure of the drainage systems. In the fufure, there will be drainage system. Meanwhile, The more buildings are beeing contructed, the more people are increasing.
I always try to take my tour to main roads without water but I unfortunately met the traffic jams. So the public transportation in capital is right now worsing from day to day. As the Phnom Penh municipal governor said that Phnom Penh residests will double in 2015.
Yesterday evening, after raining, I drove to my house on the main road, which I thought that there were not flooding but other matter happened to me was traffic jams because a lot of passengers tried to main road to avoid flooded streets like me. From today on, Phnom Penh municipal governor should take attention to drainage system and traffic jams.
