Khmer News- Cambodian economy
At around 6 pm on July 31, I saw an accident occuring on Russian Federation Blvd between car and motobike but motocycle sustained minor injury when I was driving toward my home.
Accident is a second range after the death of HIV/AIDS in Cambodia. Current accident on the road is increasing because of traffic law breaking, careless driving. drunken drivers and drug users and so on.
According to Handicap International Belgium’s report released, the first 6 months of 2006, there 1767 cases happening throughout country. These figures were reported by private clenic and hospital and traffic police.
In fact, accident in Cambodia becomes impressive topics for the whole society to be taken attention. The 2005 accident figures were estimated that at least 20 persons sustained badly injury and the 3 died due to accident accross country.

wel.. i agree with that! i wonder why so many people don respect the traffic rule? and i recognise that some of them are de rich, they hav $$$ to own such expensive vehicle, but where are their morals? didnt they used to go to school and study? ;

i know that is one a big concern to all Cambodians especially the vehicle owners. I am usually told by my parents that look around yourself first before crossing the road!
