Leaving the project of Community Information Center Webportal Cambodia (CIC webportal) of Open Forum of Cambodia for 2 months after working contract were terminated. On August 28, I came back to Open Forum to help new director about CIC Portal in an attemt to make it up. News and information were not regularly updated since July 1, 2006 until now because there haven’t been funds to support this project. But now the site was not up because a few people stole password and username and then changed them, so that there were some errors of database. The site is now still down.
It is bad for some one who intend to destroy Organisation’s property such as stealing equipments, documents and so on. Right now, donor approved fundings for supporting the project but the site has been not done. So I am trying to work voluteerily with some coleagues and director to find solution to portal.
By the way, a handful of people wants organisation to close down completly and then they want to get organisation’s services for them. What they think is right or wrong?. They really want to help our Cambodian citizens or their own interests?. Finally, I am not sure whether CIC portal will be running properly like before or not. If it wont work, it is very sad for me. Its datas stored are important for Cambodians to use and develop community. I appeal for all people who are Khmer, they should stop creating destructive ideas. What we need is to unite to develop country.

I knew CIC was undergoing changes (both for organization and funding), I didn’t know that the problems were this bad! A lot of people read CambodiaCIC.

we are Khmer who work to help our cambodian people. And I did not accused someone of stealing equipments or something. I just said that it is bad if some one steal Org’s property. I did not mention some one or anything. Do not get confused for what I said. U really understand. what I am sorry is that CIC has error and was down, which affect our community and people’s interests. I wanna it up, even though, no information is updated.
