Recently, Plus Wedding, owned by South Korean Firm, is a partern service agency to seek Cambodian women who want to marry Korean men and stettle in Korea.
This is the second partner service agency advertised on public after Couple Service was organized by Cambodian citizen. At the same time, government and NGOs expressed reaction to this service. What is important is that Cambodia government have to take strict measure to control foreign company in order to protect humna trafficking.
By the way, the relevant institutions have to monitor the firm’s advertisement carefully not to trick Cambodians who have low education and knowledge. Especially, the poor is easy to believe when they will be able to hear about something they just want it. And they will be able to become victime of sexual abuse, human trafficking, rape and so on.
According to The Cambodia Daily, Mon Soth, director of the municipal department of culture, was quoted as saying he warned that the entreprise could be used to traffic women and that it contravences Cambodian tradition.
