One of famous TV presenter, Kieu Sansana, 21, working for Cambodia Television Network (CTN) in the program of music show had reaction to the printed media, Khmer-language Newspapers, Kampuchea Thmey, which published over her story and photo of her and her boyfriend on the front page.
She accused author’s article of damaging her reputation after article accused her of unacceptable display of public affection toward her boyfriend. Article wrote that she behaved in anarchic shameless and European manner with her boyfriend. She counted that “is it wrong that we love each other? And she added that her boyfriend is not someone’s husband. He is single.
The article stated that “they should clearly understand and know traditional value, and they must not act in an open and anarchical way like this.” Before releasing the article, author did not contact her for comment.
Local media cited that her boyfriend at the age of 27 had in master degree from abroad and now is working with non-governmental organization. The same source was quoted as saying she needs sufficient time to observe him and she has efforts to better her works. Meanwhile she maintained that even though she loves some one by herself but she is a daughter who is used to respect her parents’ advice. She added she will honor her parents to evaluate her future husband prior to wedding ceremony to be held.
