First day of Water Festival

The first day of water festival, I did not go to watch boat racings in Mekong River, but I was at my office doing my work, checking job site. At the mean time, I knew that there were a lot of Cambodian people from provinces to celebrate the Water Festival organized by government every year. Where did you go every one???. Stay at home like me??. But the second day, I went to watch some stores at the Samdech Hun Sen Park with my friend. At that time, I saw many and many people from provinces to join in celebrating this event. What I was not pleased was that I saw a few cars and motorbikes driving in the crowds. In fact, there were many checkpoints to prevent vehicles to entry along river. Those who had rights to drive in were the powerful and the rich family because they had permision card for entry. On the contrary, they used it for driving their family not for their duty. On the way, this time, police tooke bribe from car or motorbike drivers for giving an opportunities for them to entry. I saw police at checkpoint taking at least 1000 Rield from drivers.
