On Thursday evening, popular reporter of Radio Free Asia- Sok Serey- had a serious traffic accident between his motorcycle with pick-up truck on the street in Phnom Penh. He suffered serious injuries in his head, while he was riding motorcycle with his 8-year-old daughter and crashed with truck’s door. After traffic accident happened, the pick-up owner saw him unconscious, he drove a car away.
According to NGOs workers, local NGOs are investigating the cause of the accident; they are thinking that it maybe politically motivated because he is the independent Radio’s reporter. Even thought, no one knew whether it was real traffic accident or political issue.
Traffic police source said that police were searching for truck’s owner and truck with a Koh Kong province number plate.
