I just spent only 7mn talking on phone with Lyda, who is 12-grade at Yuokunthor High School. She is in the best class and good at English as well. Nowadays, she is studying English at ACE. I have never met her before. We only contacted each other by phone or sent message. I just recognized her through my blog. At the mean times, I asked her two questions:
>>Why do you like blogging?
She said that “I like blogging because it improves my writing skills, and critical thinking.” She added that “blog is like diary because it is easy to share my personal information and something with her friends. By the way, it increases my communication with other people in public and makes a lot of friends.”
>>Which university will you attend after passing high school?
She said her mother wants her to attend university of medicine. But she added that she does not really like it 100%. Even though, she does not make decision whether which university she will attend.
Until now, Cambodians who know how to use blog are not as big as other countries in the region and industrial countries. Even though, ICT is gradually increasing from 2000. recently in Cambodia, Open Forum of Cambodia have conducted blog training in Phnom Penh, Kampong Cham, Battambang and Siem Reap to students, NGOs staffs, government officials and business staff.

Yes, thanks Mr Vutha that you post sth about me here in your blog
. I want to add more my idea with blog. Is that when I have a blog, I feel that I am like a writer. We are trying to act like a writer. Everyday or whenever I got free, I always think of the topics, good good topics to post in my blog. It is just like one of media that we can share many many news/information…in or outside Cambodia. And moreover, I can have feedbacks from my online friends. Giving each other comments. It is just like exchanging experiences, knowlege, and advices. And so much more…….
Special thanks again Mr. Vutha.
From Lyda.

Hi Lyda, if you really like biology, you can attend school of biological science. It’s the most appropriate for you.

Coming from someone who is a major fan of biology (minor in biology), I applaud your decision to persue genetic engineering. In fact, I think being a research scientist requires more intuition, knowledge, and skills than an ordinary doctor. Tell your parents that a research scientist has as much prestige as doctor.
If you do well in college, you have the option to persue your education in any other place around the world. Scientist are highly prized, especially in the U.S.. However, after finishing your study, I hope you will return to help Cambodia.

Hey! thanks everyone! that gave many good adives to me. I know it is hard to become a scientist since it needs alot of time doing a research in the lab…Maybe I will choose another subject to study or a skill that most need in society like er acountant…
