On March 28, 2007, around 120 participants attended Blog Training in Kompong Cham province, being conducted by Open Forum of Cambodia (OFC) under funding from EED by cooperation with Community Information Center (CIC center).
CIC manager, Vannareth, said that there were big numbers of people interesting in this training. Those are university and high school students, NGO staff, private staff, monks, provincial official registered at her center every day. She added that she announced Blog training at university building, provincial department and companies and in public since March 11.
Deouk Visal, Blog training coordinator of OFC, presented to participants about how to create blog, to write articles, and to use Khmer Unicode.
A high school student expressed his impression that he said that this training gave him new knowledge and experience. After training, he hope that he will create one for posting his diary and some thing occurring in province to share with friends and people. He added that he knew the training through his teacher who told all students to attend.
It is because of big amount of registered students, training course was divided into two sections with around 60 students each class for the morning and afternoon.
Next day, Blog Training course will be held at Maharishi Vedic University with about more than 50 students, according to report from university administration.
During 2 moths, there were 3 training at OFC’s head office in Phnom Penh. There were 15 to 25 participants (NGO staff, university students, and private staff).
