American Khmer girls or Cambodian Khmer girls are still Khmer. For me, I don’t mind at all. whoever truly love me is the best girls in my heart. The past is the past, life after marriage is defferent. Have a go!

Ofcourse, we can generalize American-Khmer or Khmer-Khmer girls to our own sterotype.

Sahat, here is my advice: you should think of all the difference prespectives and every situation is case-by-case. I am not looking down on Khmer Cambodia girl. I want to see more and more of them take the opportunities that are given to them when they come here to the states. I want to see them work hard and stop complaining about life here in the US. Khmer-Cambodia girls who came from Cambodia always tries to take a loop out of working hard and expecting more for they are not willing to put into. There are options and freedom to do anything. I would rather say I am not looking down on them, but given the situation based on case-by-case, it is not easy to get adjusted to a new place but you have to make the most out of what you can do. They can not sit on your butt and expect that the Husband have monies to give to them and buy them a new luxury car and diamonds and also aside from all of that have additional monies to send back to the parents. Of course I might sound mean or to the extreme but they need to learn how to make their own livings and take care of the family before they should expect millions of dollars to be send back home and on top to be rich. This is not money land, it’s opportunities land, you work hard and you will see the outcome and results. In speaking with Khmer-Cambodia girls here who come from Khmer, they hate us Asian-American girls whether it’s jealousy or whatever. They claim that oh it’s b/c we are born or raise here that’s why we are better off and have more opportunities. My friend, let me say something, WE WORK HARD for our freedom. It’s not b/c we were born or raise here. There are thousands of people including Whites, Black who are born here but still have nothing. You know why, it’s b/c they expect everything to be put on their plate just like those newly foriegner girls who come here (it’s a generlization). There are chineses people who are also foriegner but hey they work hard for their education. Some dont even know any English as fluently as those Asian-Americans girls, but they are were better in school or anything they do. You know why? It’s call WORKING HARD and not expecting everything to be given to them. So just b/c we say things out of our mouth that sounds mean and evil, in no mean are we trying to look down on Khmer girls. I would like to see more of them work hard and not complain. This is not GOLD land. Can’t expect to be rich right and dont’ work for it.

I’m not against you guys and girls are living in U.S.A either and i’m not traditional hard-liner at all, i had many friends in America too. One thing, i want to protect srey Khmer in Cambodia from some devils oversea only. They try to seat in the basket and lift the basket by themselves by look down Khmer girls just like trash.

Wow, how did this get so dirty. Hope I didn’t offend anyone with what I said. I never considered this to be a grudge match between America and Cambodia. I think we can all agree we love Cambodia, GOOD and BAD. Having said that, we all know there are more opportunities in the US. Who can blame anyone for trying to get here. I’m talking strictly from a guys perspective. From my experience the Khmer men that have gone back to marry usually are the ones making a modest living working a blue collar job (like I said only my experience). Most these guys aren’t living it up in the states but, when they go back to Cambodia they are viewed as high rollers. Honestly most Khmer girls would jump at the opportunity to marry someone like that just to come back to America where they have more opportunities. Those same guys in the states couldn’t get near the type of girl they would get from Cambodia (aesthetically speaking). It’s a win-win situation. What’s the problem in admitting that? You have to assimilate to life where ever you are, thats what we are all trying to do. I wake up everyday and I’m proud of what my family went through to make something of themselves in America, and I’m proud of myself for taking advantage of the opportunities they have given me. No disrespect to my sisters in Cambodia, but when you’re American it means you have freedom to chose who you want to be. If you want to educate yourself that all good. If you want to sleep around thats your choice. The thing is over her IT IS ALWAY YOUR CHOICE. Definitely not saying Khmer girls in America are “better” they’re just given the opportunity to make choices for themselves, good or bad.

Sahat? Have you been trained to collect statistical data? Please go back to school and get more educated on how to get your data straight. Besides dont’ have such a hated heart for Khmer-American girls. Why are you in so much pain as so to speak? Did a Khmer-American girl break your heart? Do you really hate the fact that Khmer-American girl like myself have the options and freedom to do what we want to do instead of being someone’s sex toy or cook food for those poor man who claim that they work so hard to bringand money home? Does it really bother you that Asian-American girls like myself and victoria have the options and freedom to choose our pathways in life? Not to be mean or anything but does it bother you that someone like myself have the options to do what we want….be a doctor, be a pharmacist, be an economist, does it scare you?I may sound igornant and errant but people like you makes me very upset and mad. You should be proud that Khmer-American girls have their freedom to do what they want and hope that we work on improving the world not feeling mad and think that we have no values and morals. Please rethink before you judge anyone. I dont’ care if you call me names and think that I am not on your level, but there are other Khmer-American girls out there who desires some credits for what they do. No one in the world is bad, people have their own pathways that they choose to take in life.

No I never consider myself as an Khmer-American girl, b/c I am not in my heart. I do what I can. Khmer-American girls who came from Cambodia maybe? I love Khmer girls but they need to follow traditions. They can not be like Westerner. I am sorry to say that I am Khmer-American but I do not hold those values that Khmer girls in Cambodia nowadays does. Khmer-American have kids without fathers? Ummmm How many do you know that are like that? I am sure they are not true Khmer-American. The Khmer-American girls that I know are hardworking, play hard, wild as you want to put it, crazy if you may say are now are working to improve the world that we live in and hoping that one day we can make a good name for the Cambodian Community. The Khmer-American that I know now are economists, doctors, etc with no kids and are proud to be an American-Khmer. What is it? Kissing in front of the Palace. Have you been to Cambodia lately? If you have not, don’t talk. I am proud to say that I come from a very good family and I have morals and values. I respect myself. I have Khmer-American friends who very well have values and morals. We can say that we can represent the Cambodian community and we are proud to say that any place we go, we bring good names to Cambodia. What about Khmer girls in Cambodia? What do they do? Of course it is absolutely wrong to generalize about Khmer girls because I know in my heart that there are some who are surpass anyone here in the US, but those are rare. Look at the dress code now, go to a Cambodian party? Look at them, those low-cut shirts that shows their cleavages when they are not even 20 years old. Now nothing is wrong with showing your cleavages, I do the same but there are occasions where it is ok to do so. But to a Cambodia party with adults and traditions, please cover yourselves a little….so what do you have to say about that? Does cambodian girls really have traditions? They are more so Westerners than most Khmer-American here in the US. Are you from Cambodia? Why are you so hard on Khmer-American girls? What do you have against us? Why do Cambodian people celebrate Valentines’ Day or Christmas if you hate Westerner so much?

what’s up with all the hatred? Are Khmer-American girls that horrible? Is it b/c maybe you once tried to get with a Khmer-American girl, but they refuse to be with you? I am not taking sides. Everybody I suppose have their own desire and tastes in women. Regardless, if Khmer-American girl are so bad, then why does all the Khmer girl who came to America wants to be American? If there is so much pride in Khmer, why not stay in Cambodia and be a Khmer girl..”honest, obedient, and submission” I believe that whether you are Khmer-American or Khmer, you are who you are. You are what you want to be. If you are a wild girl, you are wild. Let me asks though: Is being wild that terrible? I believe not, there are certain things in life that be classify you as being wild in one person’s eye but not the other. Why does it bother you Khmer guys that a Cambodian girl choose to be with a white, black, Korean,but not you? Life sometimes is not all about who you are with, it’s about what you want and what makes you happy. Needless to say, Khmer girl are also the same as Khmer-American girl. Some Khmer girls will come and be with a 40 something white guy just so that they can be like Khmer-American girl who lives here. What would you say about that? Another point: Why are young Khmer girls trying to get scholarships to come to study aboard here in US if the education system in Cambodia is so good? Why do they come here and transform themselves to be as white as they could be. My point is that Khmer-American girls aren’t always as bad as we look. We maybe wild in the eyes of the Khmer community, but I can assure you that the ones who are pregnant (as so you speak Sahat statistics) are the one who came from Khmer thinking that the tradition of Westerners are to slept around with as many guys as possible. Please go back and do some more studying on issues related to pregnant rates. I am not a bright person, but I can guaranteed that my statistics is far from what you think. Dont’ say things without checking out data. It is not a good way to pass on the information. Maybe 8 out of 10 uneducated Khmer-American. I will tell you that 10/10 educated Khmer-Americans girls can support themselves without their parents if they choose to. In fact, Khmer men who have your old style of thinking can only wish to have one of Khmer-American girls who can support you and your mother. Rethink about your thoughts before you type it up to have the world see your horrifying thoughts.

look at the rate of pragnency, for Khmer girls 1 out of 1000 got pregnant, look at American khmer girls 8 out of 10 got pregnant without a father. Can anyone tell me what went wrong? even some of the girls try to hide behind American name, i still see your face from Phnom Penh very clearly, you are Khmer face SOT SATH.
