Every early morning, Phnom Var residents go to market, named 4-crossroad market, located near Phnom Var in Kep municipality and former Khmer Rouge Stronghold. This market has vendors only in the morning but a few stalls still open in the afternoon; it can be regarded as Beeswax market.

Reduction of workers’ nightshift wages

According to the proposed amendment of Labor Law to National Assembly, workers’ nighttime wages would be cut from the current 200 percent of day rate to 130 percent in an attempt to boost employment and spur investment.

According to local media, one man suffered broken right leg and one woman was superficially injured by the traffic accident coinciding between 96-Corola car and mini-tourist bus on the Road 7 at corner of border of Chheung Prey and Bartheay district in Kompong Cham province on April 22.

Monks crash during peaceful march

One Khmer Krom monk was hit above the eye with rock and six left superficially injured on Friday morning, while local monks and civil plain dress emerged from Wat Ounalom and crashed with a group of 50 Khmer Krom monks participating in peaceful march in an attempt to highlight alleged religious oppression in Vietnam.
