19th Century Bridge Recreated

Phnom Penh municipality spent $2.25 million on new bridge along Norodom Blvd near Wat Phnom. It was reconstructed with four Naga heads, and was originally designed by French architects in the late 19th century. Stones used for bridge were brought from Preah Vihear province.

Vutha, it seems to me there’s no channel next to the Wat Phnom Penh needed to build bridge there. Why?? Newly digged??
