Beeswax Market in Phnom Var
Every early morning, Phnom Var residents go to market, named 4-crossroad market, located near Phnom Var in Kep municipality and former Khmer Rouge Stronghold. This market has vendors only in the morning but a few stalls still open in the afternoon; it can be regarded as Beeswax market.

Vegetables have been laid on red gravel truck road along road to Phnom Var. one of vegetable vendors said that all vegetables sold here are not used insecticide and chemical fertilizers, they use only natural fertilizers.
This area has been developed by government in 2002 after Khmer Rouge age toppled and Khmer Rouge militants defected to government. During Khmer Rouge controlled, this area was a lot of forest, no houses, with roads. Nowadays, there are 700 families living here.
A man who is newcomer said that security is ensured 100%. He added that there are only 30% of former Khmer Rouge residents and 70% is new immigrants from different areas living here.
