After the country is in peace and political stability, the economy development is the main key to eliminate poverty, to improve people’s living standards and so on. By the way, the land price is increasing from day to day, from month to month and from year to year. Most of the poor people are becoming the victims of the increasing land price such as:
- The poor sold their small plot of rice paddy land and then they lack land to plant rice, crops and so on.
- The poor have been forcibly evicted by the government to other areas without road, clean water, schools, market and reasonable shelters.
- The poor’s land has been grabbed by the rich and the powerful.

The most famous thing in Cambodia now is buying a land. I think that in the future Cambodia will became a city of high buildings and houses…… and the land for farming will be less…
Now, building construction is booming in City but you know, most of raw materials have been imported from foreign countries. so that all current is flowing outside Cambodia.
By the way, domestic materials and labor forces are produced in Cambodia.
When heavy rain, the main roads in City are flooded because of drain systems is bad. and Construction developers do not care about them.
Do not be happy with high building in the future.
It is good if this topic had been deeply researched. Because we all see its effect but not showing a reasonable solution to. How do Cambodian people, esp the poor, escape from this hurt? How does the government should do to prevent this dramatic damages to the next generation? and so on…
It is an amazedness to Cambodian people who never dream about how this country be a golden land. From day to day a world is endlessly moving. New many people come who lead to be crowd whereever with small amount rate go away. Things support demand are getting scarce, even land. These factors are also important to cause the land price goes up not neccessary due to the gradually increase in investment and trade. Logically, the poor will try their best to find way support lives within a short period of time not to wait for long or they will die. The critical thing is how to help them as such behave. Make a better and effective use of land in somehow and speculation on land should be aggarvatingly punished.
Big thought is still far away to think about.
Land issue is the hot new happening across our country. the end-victims are the poor. National Authority to solve land issue have been created to solve this problem but it is seemly not so active.
It is good for your idea to conduct research this. but I have no idea yet. you should do it.
