Old number plate to be changed
The Municipal office has issued a News release stated that: In order to keep social order and safety they require all vehicle owner who used the old-design number plate to change to a new one. The News release set no deadline for vehicle owner, but stated that the police may hold your vehicle in custody if you failed to comply.
And then I got some questions from Borin who would like all of you to help answer to questions below:
- Is the previously issued number plate illegal?
- What is the purpose of doing this?
- Is social order or social safety?
- Do you see number plate can affect traffic safely?
- Repaying for a new number plate is not fair, right?

1. The previous ones are legal when they say that they a legal but they(previous plate ) a illegal when they decide the legals are the new one. (In cambodia, They big says yes, the small must say ok, that’s rite.
2. Nothing but money or just want the small to obey their speech. I tell you to do you must do without any reason.
3. Not really, although the new one is changed i am still afraid with my phone on the road.
4. If the number plate could affect the traffic, i think it’s time to reduce the car in PP. ( The car shops are blooming in PP)
5. 100% unfair. If they want citizens to change to the new one, it should be exchanged freely without paying any Riel.
Don’t know what they are doing… exactly…
Thank you vutha, for posting this.. My blog is out of dated since i am super busy with my 9000 word assignment.
