Actually there are many fators contributing in rising of gasoline price.

There is only one factor that people did not talk about in Cambodia. Actually the gas price its self do not rise that much, it is the exchange rate. The US dollar value deprecaited against other currency, gold, and commodity products such as oil.

Cambodian is dollarized economy so the change in dollar value will effect cambodia economy.

I agree with u when people are paid salary in dollar. But it affects the civil servants who received monthly salary in Riel. For NGO staff, it does not matter because they are paid salary in $$$$.

For example, I get 20,0000 Riel per month. I can buy gasoline amounted to 50L (1L=4000 Riel) this month. Next mouth, oil price increases from 4000 R/L to 4200R/L. So I can buy only 48.78L. So that amount of gasoline i bought was decreasing from month to month due to increase in oil price.
