Prime Minister, Hun Sen, used to warn all of government senior officials such as municipality and provincial governors, police and military police chiefs to crack down on gangsters last year. And then they would be fired if they were not able to stop gang violence last year.
Recently, he gave a speech at the National Institute of Education that “the children of rich and poor alike become gangsters and then all need to face the same measure of justice. He added that not only the poor but the rich must be in jail. It is called fair society.â€
In reality, most of the poor have been arrested, detained and punished by the law. But the rich and powerful’s son and relatives are still at large, even though they were found guilty. The current judiciary system is not independent. What is important is that government has to strengthen the judiciary rather than blaming gangsters for violence, SRP secretary general said.
By the way, so far, no government senior officials had been dismissed and stopped from their positions while they failed to stop gangsters.

It’s difficult to believe him except if Cambodia become really a country of LAW
Law in Cambodia is seemly to be under order from the powerful people. The poor stayed in the prison but the rich and powerful stayed at home, were at large.
Where is the justice of society???
