Last week, I went to Svay Rieng province and that was the first time for me to stay over there week. But I had not enough time to go around this town because I was busy with attending training youths about how to write and report information at their commune levels.
Even though, I noticed that there are the difference of speed of internet connectivity and fee charge at internet café between province and province and city. Over there, it is hard to access internet because its speed is very slow. By the way, the fee charge of internet usage at internet café is so expensive ($2 per hour) compared to Phnom Penh city. There are a few internet café shops.
While, I went to Bavet (Cambodia-Vietnam border), the price of internet use is quite different from Svay Rieng. Only 2000 Riel ($0.50) per hour is charged for using internet access. It is because internet is connected from Vietnam. Most of people who are using internet are Chinese and Vietnamese people. And internet café owners are Vietnamese as well. I rarely spot Cambodian people using internet there.
The internet price in Vietnam is really cheap compared to Cambodia. You know i spend only 45000 VND (for about 3 dollars ) monthly. We can do everything by this price; download, upload, listen to the live radio, watch films online..
Wow wow, it is very more cheap than price in Cambodia. It the price of internet is as cheap as Vietnam. Cambodian students would have more opportunities to access internet. When will be internet price as cheap as Vietnam and other country?
