6 ways to promote your new blog
I get asked a lot of the same questions from new beginner for blogging while attending blog training. They have asked many questions: who knows my blog? How to promote my blog? How to make blog popular? They expressed their deep worry about these issues because they just created new blog and want other bloggers to know theirs. It takes long time to make your blog well-known, not a week, a month… I think!
At the mean time, I would like to share my little experiences that I used to do and it is simple ways for new bloggers without knowledge of IT like me.
1- Write content: writing unique and good content is very important for attracting your audiences to read your blog post. If it is not good, the readers will not read it and they will not return to visit it again. And you have to update it regularly if possible. If you do not do it, it means that your blog is dead. Readers will not come to read it anymore.
2- Add link to other bloggers: you should link to other bloggers, even though, they are your friends or not. While you linked their blogs, they will basically notice and link back to yours in the future. That is the way to help promote your blog through link. I always link to new Cambodian bloggers to my blog link.
3- Leave comment: you should spend your time to visit other blogs and then comment with good idea or opinion. At the time, blog owner will come back to visit your blog via blog comment. Visiting other blogs is likely to introduce yourself to them to realize you through comment.
4- Tell friends: you can tell your friends about your blog’s address through email, or face-to-face meeting. And tell them to help comments on your blog post as well.
5- Use mail signature: you should use email signature by attaching your blog’s address to outgoing message.
6- Add your blog into free blog directory: you can add your blog into free blog directories such as www.cambodiablogger.com, www.khmerbest.com, www.MyBlogLog.com and others. It is basically type of free directories in order to allow members to find and communicate one other.
All ways I tell you above are simple for new beginner to promote their blog. On the other hand, there are other ways to promote blog. But I am looking forward to advices from professional bloggers to share with us.
