Pepper Fruit in Memot district

Young girl is standing in pepper field in Kompong Cham, Memot district. All dried pepper product have been exported to Vietnam and Phnom Penh by middlemen.

Green pepper have been harvested from field and stored at home before dying.

All pepper have been dried and then stored into bag and put on dried place.

Hey Sopheap, I do not know the pepper market in Cambodian. But i just know that its price is 13000 Riel per kg recently that i get it from my parents living in Memot district.
Most people in Memot district are planting it.
Intersting news… How much land in each family growing paper? How many Kg could they sell to VN in each year? Is there any association or organzation working with them?
Hey, you are asking me more questions. It is because i live in Memot and i know about their planting. their land is not big, just only half hectare or nearly one hectare. I have no specific figure of exporting to VN. Farmer can harvest more than 3 tons of dried pepper per year on half hectare of land.
By the way, there is not association or organization yet.
