Alcohol and Cigarette ad banned on media?

Products and services have been advertised on TV, in newspapers, on air and in public are aimed at attracting the interest of audiences to buy them. By the way, some education spots produced by government institutions and non-profit organizations have been advertised on media coverage as well in order to educate citizens about awareness of domestic violence, drug usage, human trafficking… etc.

Recently, Number One Plus lubricated condom advertisement by PSI had been no long televised after Prime minister criticized that such ad is offensive and motivated by profit, not advert to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS. On the other hand, it damaged Cambodia women’s dignity and reputation and it educated men to be bad guys as well. While the ad centered on a fashion show at which models become overtly affectionate with two male spectators who showed the condom in their jacket pockets.

At the mean time, Beer and Cigarette ads have been promoted on media and publicized on Billboard across country in an attempt to pique interest of people to purchase their products. As you knew, all products are harming people’s health and lives. These advertisings are promoted people to smoke and drink more and more because their advertisements show people that they help you to be healthy and smarter after drinking beer and smoking cigarette.

In reality, some advertisements affecting human’s health and lives should not be allowed to advertise on media and in public places. Such ads are seemly encouraging people to buy and use it more and more rather than preventing people. To this point, should these ads be banned on media and in public?

No, not at all. The advertisement need to catch its audiences. Although it’s banned, the situation will be worse. It shouldn’t be banned indeed..

Why do you think that alcohol ads should be advertised through media and in public?

If we don’t have ad, so no need to have companies or produce any products. It helps people in everyday living.

For my opinion, i think that some products should be prohibited from advertisement because it affects human health and lives. it does not mean that all product ads have to be banned on ads.

If alcohol and beer products have still been advertised in public it means that we encourage people to buy it. As we know it can damage their health and lives.

I agree with other products and services that do not damage human lives. If we talk about condom, it should continue to be advertised to public to know how to use it in order to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS and other diseases.

In short, I would say that it is people’need.
