Cambotube: Sharing video about Cambodia

Cambotube is the new website that allows all users to contribute to sharing video about Cambodia, playing as the important tool for strengthening the freedom of expression. Content on this site is posted about documentaries of Khmer Rouge, the secret bombing of Cambodia by the US and other short video clip and so on. The founder of the site is Jason Rosette, and a US national.

Cambodian government spokesman and information Minister say that “if there is something wrong on the site, something which is relates to pedophilia or terrorism for example, then we would take action.” He added that “Sites like this must operate within the frameworks, tradition and custom of Cambodia.” Daily reported.

As we know until now, there are no cyber laws for controlling internet content in Cambodia. By the way, the government is not yet strict to internet censorship. And the government is promoting Information Communication and Technology (ICT) in Cambodia as well.
