OPEN FORUM OF CAMBODIA is initially holding CAMBODIAN BLOGGER AWARD 2007 in Cambodia in aiming at instituting a process of selecting and recognizing bloggers’ initiatives that resulted to significant positive impact in their daily lives and the society and to encourage Cambodians to use new information technology.

Moreover, Open Forum has provided capacity building of blog, Khmer Unicode and writing skills to target groups such as NGOs, youth and women, by translating award-winning initiatives into documents which tell the best or good practices of bloggers. So far, more than 600 were trained during one year in Phnom Penm, Kompong Cham, Battambang, Siem Reap, Sihanoukville and Svay Rieng.

In order to participate in Blog Award 2007, you all should fulfill into Application Form and then send it to Mr. Visal: blog[at]of.forum.org.kh or submit it to Open Forum of Cambodia’s office. The Award will be held on December 22, 2007 from 8:00am to 12:00am at World Vision.

I hope that all of you will enormously submit your blog to grant Award, even though, the award is not so much but it is the first time for all Cambodian bloggers have good chance to promote democracy, freedom of expression and sharing opinion, knowledge and experiences to each other by using Blog as a tool.
