Improving private sector through Gov’t and Private forum
The government-private sector forum (G-PSF) has been created, funded by IFC and AuAID, in an attempt to improve the business environment, builds trusts and encourages private investment in Cambodia. Establishing the forum is to foster the capacity and a strong relationship between the government and private sector.
Two forum meetings are held per year and chaired by the Prime Minister. There are eight Working Group:
- Agriculture & Agro-Industry
- Tourism
- Manufacturing & SMEs
- Law, Tax & Good Governance
- Services, including Banking & Finance
- Energy, Infrastructure & Transport
- Export Processing & Trade Facilitation
- Industrial Relations
Private sector representatives meet before the main each Working Groups to review and comment on proposed legislation and to identify issues for discussion in the formal Working Group meetings.
