Result of Cambodian Public Opinion Survey
On November 29, 2007, IRI presented the result of survey of Cambodian Public Opinion at its head office in Phnom Penh. Survey had been conducted by interviewing face to face from July 21 to August 31, 2007. There were 2,000 samples to be representatives for Cambodian population order than 18 year old.
According to survey, 75% of respondents felt that Cambodia presently is headed in the right direction. Only 22% is in wrong direction, in comparison with 2006, 37% and 2007, 20%. People said that country is moving in the wrong direction due to corruption (29%), partisanship (20%), and high price of gas (25%).
The survey read the law enforcement is not effective to issues of corruption, drugs, crime, gangs and land grabbing. These make the country to get worst and worst because of impunity.
