The fact that it is not the new thing that we have always known that some Vietnamese living in Cambodia presently are holding Khmer ID (Identification Card). And then they have possibility to cast vote in Cambodia. Right now, I told all of you the truth, I used to meet Vietnamese man in 2000 while he did business in Cambodia. As I know he never came to Cambodia before but he held Khmer ID by changing his real name to Khmer Name.
I never met him around 6 years ago after he left Cambodia. Last week, he tried to find me and then he called me and invited me to have lunch and dinner together. And I went out with him. While we were having lunch, he took his Khmer ID from his pocket and asked me that. “I want to change my old Khmer ID into new one, can u help me?” and then I quickly replied him that I did not know someone who could do it. In fact, I thought in my mind that I would not help him to do that even though I knew someone to do it.
This evening, I had gone out with him and other guy at restaurant. After we drank some beers and then he started asking the man sitting beside me about how to renew his old ID card. Shortly after, the name called his friend to ask about this. And then he told the Vietnamese man that he would let him know later.
Vietnamese man used to tell me that, it will be charged $100 for renewing. And I then told him that I did not know about its price. I asked him that “why do you want to renew.” He said that “He wants to hold Khmer passport.” I stopped deeply asking him about it
As the result, I can assume that some foreigners can hold Khmer ID card by just paying some money to local authorities.

That’s very dangerous to our present and future society. I’m very worried about the Vietnamization in Cambodia. The corrupt official must stop caring about the money, but its own future Cambodia!

corrupt officials have to stop providing legal Khmer ID to foreigners, especially Vietnamese. if Cambodian authorities do not stop it, Cambodian territory will be taken over by foreign country in the future.
What i told all of u is the truth. Oh my Godness!!!

Corruption does prevail, after all, over the national interest. I doubt why the heck nationalism doesn’t at all come into play here! Well, that said, I do believe the officials in charge HAVE TO do so (being corrupt) for a reason we don’t know. My question to those officials therefore is, why do you HAVE TO do that? What do you think can be done to stop it?

To my opinion, in order to alleviate corruption, all senior government officials have to start first to stop the corrupt acts. How to do?
Until now, the draft of anti-corruption have not been passed by National Assembly. How to punish the senior corrupt officials?
