On Sunday afternoon, staying on the hammock in small thatch-roofed house in the plantation field in Phnom Voar, where was the former Khmer Rouge stronghold in the 90s and looking at the dark cloud during the dry season, I hope that the heavy rain would fall down on the plantation waiting for rain water in order to survive. But the dark cloud was moving away slowly. It is hard for the poor people farming the crops and fruit tree depending on the rain.

Farmers might have to learn not to depend on the cloud any longer should they wish their crops are sustainable and growth but to look into build own catchment or pond[s] to preserve water.
