To improve copyrights enforcement
The government is planning to protect the entertainment industry companies, by prosecuting the violators of copyright law. At the present time, there are many fake discs have been on sales at the domestic market. The lax copyright law has been implemented in order to protect the interest of producers, making producers to lost their profit or bankrupt. Previously, the local authorities just only cracked down on and confiscating the pirated CDs, DVDs. But the violators have not been prosecuted or punished by the law.
We can ask why users like to buy copied discs rather than the legal ones? The price on sales is that the illegal disc is cheaper than the legal disc, costing $0.50.
Does it violate the copyright law when some productions have been re-recording the old songs of Sin Sisamuth and so on, without changing anything, just sang by new signers.? We still do like that the next generation will think that the newly-re-recorded songs are sung by new singers. How to protect it? By the way, producers can make profit from it, just re-recording.
