Drivers talking on phone in danger

Talking on phone while driving“Just like you put yourself and other people at risk when you drive drunk, you put yourself and others at risk when you use a cell phone and drive,” writes David Strayer, a psychology professor and the study’s lead author.

Almost every days while commuting from my house to workplace, I have often stumbled upon motorists and car drivers talking on phone while driving. When I was driving on the priority road from my workplace, a car drove by woman was talking on phone and her car was still moving slowly forward across the street. Suddenly, I and other passengers stopped and allowed her car to cross the street slowly and she was unlikely to take care of anything. The fact thats she would have stopped her car and gave rights to other passengers to go first.

Talking on phone while driving is a part of the road accident because the caller was distracted, concentrated on other side line. Possibly, it is the public concern about the use of cell phone and other hand-held electric equipment, along as texting message while driving.

For me, when my phone is ringing, I stopped my motorbike at the roadside and then answer the phone. In addition, I am afraid to crash. By the way, I am afraid that the thief will be able to grab my phone Hahaha. We should be careful of taking on phone while driving.

Under article 9 of the new road traffic law, drivers are not allowed to talk on phone while driving but drivers are allowed to phone if they have connected earphone or stops their vehicle and receive calling.

Even though, the new law allows drivers to make a phone call, the drivers on cell phones drove more slowly, braked more slowly and were more likely to crash. On the other hand, drivers who are on phones- either handled or hands-free- are likely to make accident possibly because they are distracted by conversation.
