Three songs banned on playing public

I used to listen to all above three song titles sung by women but I clearly did not remember all its meanings, as I remembered its meanings are describing over the women loving the married man. The title of three songs “Love Another’s Husbandâ€; “May I have a Piece of Your Heart Tooâ€; “If I can’t be First Can I be Secondâ€. All three have been banned from broadcasting in public.
All three songs have been prohibited from playing in the public after Prime minister’s wife called on the authorities of Phnom Penh along with all municipal and provincial authorities to review all night entertainment clubs, which she said that they have been affecting security and social order as well as national culture and customs.
On January 31, premier’s wife also appealed to reviewing the clothes worn by the singers performing on the scene because those singers have worn too revealing clothes.
People still play the songs in private at their home. The government did not order to confiscate them from the markets but not performing in the public.Â

oh great! i really concern about the rhythm and meaning of the song. if the new song-writers have no talent to create a rhythm song, at least they should try to make it acceptable to Khmer people. For me, I support this banning, regardless of any political bias….

What is important is that we, Cambodians, have to value , maintain and promote our culture. getting culture from other countries is normal in globalization but we have to know that what is good or bad. we should not copy the bad thing and spread it across our country.
When we say about the Cambodia-made products, they have not been encouraged or bought by ourselves. Why?
