On the day of wedding ceremony, if bride or groom abandoned from the house it is not funny but ashamed for family. I got used to hear that the bride or groom left on the day of wedding, it is because the forced wedding would be organized by the parents. Such wedding is because that some parents adhere still to the traditional customs, but the present it is changed, mostly in the city and towns.
What is odd that yesterday’s wedding was held without main actor (groom) on the day of the wedding, only bride was performing as main actress during this day. You can ask why? It was because that the bridegroom is in United States. He did not come to Cambodia on the day of his wedding because his entry visa is expired so that he missed his important marriage yesterday.
There was only the bride standing alone at entry gate in order to greet guests, at the mean time, there was a live video with big screen to be placed on the place where the groom would be standing there. Quests saw groom on the live video from United State on screed and he said sorry to all guests while he missed the flight to Cambodia.
My cousin also joined this wedding yesterday evening. I knew this yesterday since the morning. The bride’s sister has also invited my sister. And then my sister wanted me to join this wedding but I denied because I knew that it was absence of the groom. While I was at workplace this morning and then my friend told me about this too.
I did know why the man was careless of his special day. It is not good for bride’s family on that day while no presence of groom.
i hate a man like him even he say sorry to everyone but he should carry this day ..he should know this importand day for the girl and her family and also his family .
Every one always never forget their special day, wedding day. He forgot it because probably he did not regard it as his important day. In the fact, the absence of the bridegroom some times make their family to lose face or ashame.
How many mane will forget the special day like him???
This is a rare and unbelievable case. I can’t believe that. The groom and bride’s family should have known if they could make it or not. I don’t understand one thing, was the groom supposed to arrive in Cambodia and to get married at the same day? I would expect a week at least. If they knew about his delay, they would be able to postpone.
Personally I don’t blame the groom totally, i admire him for being present via the Live Video. this is absolutely one in a million cases.

Come on and get real, every body knows that visitor came to Cambodia can get visa on arrival. If the groom is a Cambodia then he would have a permanent entry visa since the 1st day he arrived in the country.
Don’t want to jump to conclusion but this excuse doesn’t justify his action – Visa was expired.

What an odd situation. Although it sounds pretty bad. They should have postponed the wedding. I believe that in this case, money is the main issue for bride not to cancel the wedding. Shame or no shame…if i was the bride I would cancel the wedding immediately. People laughing at you shouldn’t be an issue. What an issue is that the guy is not responsible and there could be more issues behind this. Now let say that the guy never will return….what is she? a widowed? i rather be singled/laughed. His passport might be expired, but I think he is not Cambodian-American. Weird situation.
Well, just say that his passport was expired but there is a service for him to leave u.s.a by carrying new passport which is done at the airline ticket agency called temporary passport some thing like that. He just has to pay some money .
That was so silly .
