Fulfilling Duty as Citizen but Burglar Broke House
One day before the Election Day, most of Cambodian people who are working far from the villages and houses, returning homes in order to fulfill a duty as citizen to choose the future of new government. Some of house’s owners locked their house for a few days in order to return to their downtown to vote.
Last night, my neighbor’s house locked since Saturday was burgled, while owners went back their village in order to participate in casting a vote. Three Solex keys were broken. People living nearby dare not to enter the broken house because the owners are not staying here. No specified property was reported, stolen.
In order to fulfill a duty as citizen in order to choose the future of their own country through one vote, but their property was stolen. Who is responsible for the stolen property? Who lost property? As result, only Cambodians are responsible for all burgled wealth. Won parties will not take care of this.

Yes, it take some times for the page to load, but it is ok to me. Too bad that stuff in the house is stolen.
@ Kane, it is the fact that people went to vote, even though polling stations is far from their current residents. it is because they want to select the good leader for the future of the County. and they hope that the leaders they choose will make the country safe, without burglars, robbers, and so on. It means that people want to live peacefully, including physically and mentally. At the present time, burglars and robbers happens in the city and countrysides but the local authorities have not take immediate action to protect people and chase to arrest the robbers and burglars. Especially, the bloc of my buildings, even the village chief or local police knew that there are many burglars who always break locked houses.
it does not mean that people are careless. when they left home, they locked their house with high-secured keys. That is said that the insufficiency of competent authorities. it means that government is responsible for the people’s security, social orders, getting ride of robbers and burglars.
I really blame the local authorities who do not keep safe for local people.

Sorry to hear that. I normally scare to leave my house too every main holidays like Pchum Ben, KNY…etc.
Come on Vutha, get real man, to vote does not need 4 days out of the house, in fact to most destination we can travel back and force within a day. I’m sure they chose to do so cuz they are also want to see the long lost contact family.
Everone living in Cambodia should be aware of this issue, it’s happened all the time and everywhere.
If I recall it correctly the theft even stole your mobile phone while you were sleeping, you were in the possession of the goods, yet they still steal it.
So please get real, don’t just blame other because of their own careless.
Winning party should not responsible for this for sure, cuz the victim of this might not vote for the winning party beside, it’s should be the government responsible for this buglers issues and all citizen should take extra care of their valuable goods. To bad we have too many poor people in our country.
