Sim Solika is famous movie and Karaoke actress and working with Bayon television as presenter of some programs. Recently, Beauty Magazine released article in the August 15-31 issue by describing her love triangle between Bayon programme manager Tit Thavarith and second man, Por Sam Oeun.
Daughter of Prime Minister Hun Sen, Hun Mana, Director general of Bayon TV, sent letter to ministry of information by criticizing strongly the magazine’s reporter, Sam Bunthoeun. And the letter read that the article were untrue and intended to
merely damage the honor and popularity of Bayon.
The letter added that San Bunthoeurn had tried to extort money from actors and high-level staff at the station.
According to The Phnom Penh Post, Sam Bunthoeun defended his articles against the criticism raised in the letter. He said that “I based it on anonymously sourced comments of staff and actors,” He added that he had not asked for money, but said Tit Thavarith tried to stop publication of the story.
Since I was in Cambodia most of people say that, most of actress, movies stars and some pretties girls from contest are belong to richest man or the man who work high in governemnt.
Some beautiful movie stars and singers have been shot to dead or was badly injured by the love triangle with the rich and powerful. And the attackers always sill at large. the powerful and wealthy always use their money and power for their love, even though they have legitimate wife already. Some of innocent people have been killed by injustice.
Who is responsible for searching for assailants? How about Cambodia’s judicial system? is it independent?
I have heard many things on Cambodian movie stars and other pretty girls of their business in this entertainment industry. I think that it is their business and freedom to earn a living, to get pride and fame in their life. But what is really caught my attention is the intervention of a welknown daughter of Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia involved in this matter. Recently she was and is trying very hard to raise funds for Preah Vihear temple and for our compatriat solidiers which is a very remarkable action for the country.
Should this small matter of a triangle love of this actress, Sim Solika matter her so much? Who is Sim Solika?
