BarCamp Phnom Penh is the first-ever event held in Cambodia on August 20, 2008 at the conference hall of Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC), which is home to 400 participants. This event will be organized by Cambodian youths. They are voluntarily working by seeking funding support from private companies and local non-governmental organizations.

There will be Cambodian and foreign presenters in the country and from abroad. By the way, all of you will have opportunities to gain new knowledge and share knowledge and experience each other. In addition, the event will enable all of you to build network and relationship as well.
This BarCamp Phnom Penh is open for computer enthusiasts, technologists, IT professionals, geeks, and nerds to talk and discuss all things technology. As the event is open for the public, and hopes to inspire IT community in Cambodia.

Where will we go after the BarCamp Phnom Penh?
After the event on the same day, we plan to camp at the Kirirom resort one night. But it is not free for all of you. You all have to pay for transportation, accommodation, foods as well. As planed, each person has to pay at least $30. If less than 30 participants, the camp at night will be canceled.
