Blocking blog’s individual comment
I just got question from one of Cambodian bloggers asking me whether we can block someone’s comment because individual commentator is always leaving comment to hurt or interfere her feelings. Most of people like listening to the positive comments rather than the negative one. Therefore, someone always does not feel well with criticism or blame.
I then have no answer to her question because I never block comments and I feel great when my blog posts have been left more comments, even negative and positive comments. I think that all my blog posts are written in an attempt to share with all readers to make open discussion. By the way, someone’s idea is not perfect. Everyone has different points of views.
What I take care is the spam comment which I am always confronted with. And then I installed Akismet plug-in to catch the spam comment. It cannot block all spam comments, sometimes spam comments appear within the blog post. Even though, it is better than nothing.
Because the commentator leaves impolite or indecent words, she asked me how to block the comment. For me, I do not know how to block commentator’s comment. Therefore, I would like all of you to help share some ideas or advice with us if you know how to block someone’s comment that you dislike.

If they are using Wordpress, click on the comments tab in admin page. Next to each comment is the option to Unapprove, Spam, and Delete.
If in Blogger, set Comment setting for moderation, so before the comments even posts she has to approve or disapprove them. Most blogging software has this ability somewhere in the admin settings.
I have never deleted comments either. I like the free exchange of ideas and don’t want to censor, even when the comments are negative.
You write a post for getting commenting from others. so it should not be a problem when you get a negative feedback. It is a good way to improve your blog post to the next level.
u know everyone really need a feedback comment even negative but if someone who pretent tobe many person came to ur blog and write something is none to talk for ur topic what did u do? if they came to ur blog just gave u a comment for hurting and lookdown at u ?it fair to let them do it ?
that right we should use blog as tool for sharing opinionsand point of views knowledge and experience each for eachother.i hope they will understand and respect the blog’s owners
Both Blogger and Wordpress allow moderation of comments, and anonymous comments. However, if someone leaves a negative or threatening comment, Wordpress allows you to track their IP address.
This allows you to contact their internet service provider to report them, if necessary. Fortunately it won’t come to that, but it is good to be prepared.
Online.com.kh refuses to reveal the identity of an IP you complain about, unless you have a court order. But overseas service providers have different rules.
It’s tough to leave the “mean” comment on your blog post but if they are wrong, your other visitors will point it out and they will look stupid and not you.

I know this is not funny when you get opposite commenting from someone, but your post is opening for commenting, whatever it is you have to accept it. I would be happy if I have a lot of opposite comment in my blog because I can improve what I had wrote.
