Most of Cambodian people living in rural are mostly dependent on agriculture. By the way, the harvest is not enough for feeding their family in the whole year. After the harvest, the Poor people always find extra income in order to support family by seeking work in Urban, City and crossing border to work in neighboring countries.

More than 30 percent of total population is living under poverty line, by earning less than $1 per day. How do they live?

For me, I do not know how to plough and transplant at all. But i know how to cook rice, eheheh.

I used to experience all these works too when i was young. It is a good reminder. There are many steps to get the rice and cook it for meal.

Traditionally, rice cultivation in Cambodia is totally depending on rain fall, however, due to the pattern of rain fall changed drastically for the last decade – Too much or too little would and will always impact on the cutltivation.

The only wa that rice cultivation in Cambodia is to viable in the future is to have propre irrigation systems that could connect to all parts of the village where potential cutivation is to profit.
