hi to all
I was in cambodia got married to a wonderful k'mai woman and i bought 35 cows and 8 hectare plot with a house 1 1/2 years ago .it was bought by my wife's family for me I sent the money for it .when i went back last year i could not wait to see what i had bought.well i was more than happy to see the best piece of land i could expect to find there and it has a very well built home and when i walked the land i saw a very odd tree. well i did not know it then but it was not a tree at all .it is many dragon fruit fused together .it is like 30 feet across and 35 feet high ! i would not have believed this had i not seen it myself .has any one seen a grouping of this cactus this big ? or larger?it looked like a hollowed out tree boy i felt rather stupid when i researched about this species . additionally im told it hasn't fruited for some time .i have been told by others it must be pruned to fruit .any one have knowledge of this ? now we have about 350 fruit trees and about 50 banana plants already and we keep adding more today a large well was finished so we will have water for crops year round. 4 hectares is rice field but we are reducing this to about 3 h for fish ponds . house is being done now this is really looking good now ,i can't wait to see it again finished .as we clear land a fence will go up and trees will be planted.mangoes cun long plants canao sor sop rambutan and i'd like to plant gac fruit .i really want to do 3/4 to 1 hect . of dragon fruit but thats a lot of money to put up 40,000 plants even at .50 each is 20,000 dollars that dream is going to take some time yet .well i'd like to hear from someone who really knows about this plant thanks.

Its age is about 4 years. You really need small plot of land for farming fruit tree? You should buy a plot of land in Cambodia. Hehehe. For me, i have a plot of land which is full of sandalwood trees. I have planted more than one year.

I just make it fun. because the opposite of organic is mechanic. Organic is like fruits, animal, and human while mechanic is like car, computer, plane....

So I think every fruit is organic, whether it is naturally planted or chemically assisted planting. I am not sure it is right.

just try to make it fun.

I bough mechanic fruits yesterday from the supermarket, But I can't eat cuz it's all nuts and bolt.

Organic fruits and vegetable are free from pesticide and chemical fertilizer use in conventional planting.

In a large scale farming it is hard to go organic completely for fact that pest and disease are major problems unless farmers can adopt new planting techniques. I.e planting crops in between the others that resistant to disease and insect, crops that would not deplete the nutrient from soil or put nutrient back into soil.

Chemical used in fruits and vegetables for staying fresh longer would definitely pose health risk to consumers.
