@ Posoky, I went to have dinner at Ben Thanh Market. And it is the first time for me to visti vietnam and then i feel afraid of what u said. When i walked around in Saigon, i think that it is safer than before.

  9. Chhai says:

If you are in district 1 try Pho Le. Can’t remember the street name but they also have another shop down district 5, Nguyen Trai Street. It’s the best Pho in VN in my opinion.

  10. vutha says:

Hey Chhai, Are u living in Vietnam? That is the first time that I traveled to Vietnam, therefore it is hard for me and my friends to find restaurants. By the way, we cannot speak Vietnamese language as well. We just walked around in Saigon or took a taxi only.

  11. Chhai says:

No I’m living in Aus but I’m originally from Kampuchea Krom. I was working in Saigon for 6 months last year.

If you need help around Saigon, just look around for the people who look after the motorbike or waitresses, if they look dark try to speak Khmer to them. They are almost certainly Khmer.

  12. Vutha says:

Thanks Chhai. I just visited Vietnam a few days and during that days, i met some Khmer Krom people who can speak Khmer and not so well. Even though we can communicate with them. And you are the owner of websit Mitleap.com, right?

Thanks for your visiting my blog.

  13. Chhai says:

Yeah the dialect in KK is quite vietnamized. I think about 20% of the words they speak are in Vietnamese. It’s sad I know, we should promote Khmer language better.

Yeah I run mitleap.com while learning Khmer at the same time.
