My blog’s google PR down
When I checked the Google PageRank and then I realized that my blog’s google pagerank is down from 4 to 2/10, I do not know what caused my blog’s rank down like that. And then I felt disappointed with it. I created my blog nearly 3 years. Do you know why my blog’s google pagerank decreased?
By the way, my blog’s domain name will be expired on December 19, 2008 as well and I have to renew my domain name which I bought from Yahoo. But when I checked billing information about my next payment, I then realized that the next payment is $34.95. Last year, I paid only $10 per year but for fourth year of my domain name payment triples. Therefore, I should renew my domain name or not? Or whether I have to forward this domain name to other company?
Fortunately, I do not need to pay hosting because my friend offered enough space for my blog. So, I can save some bucks for hosting.

Hey Rath, thank for your leaving comment on my blog. And now I linked your blog to mine already. So, you should link my blog on yours as well. Ok?
Domain/hosting: have you ever tried GoDaddy and its hosting? To my idea, it’s better than Yahoo! in both service.
Really? I never try Godady yet. How much do you pay for hosting?
Yeah, i noticed that. Your PR went down might be because you allow comments from some of the bad websites or blogs or you link to websites or blogs banned by google. Actually, you can email google directly to see what is going on. I experienced communicating with them and it was good. You can try to find out…
It could be that you link to many low or zero PR blogs or websites and those will drop you down automatically. Wish you earn the credibility back soon. Cheers!
hi Piseth, thanks for your good idea. I think it is because i exchanged links with other blogs without Rank as u mentioned.
What is the importance of Page Ranking? In fact, your website is a resourceful and interesting one though its ranking is not so high. Keep up your post bro.
Hi Vutha;
Hope you will keep up your posting
@ Chanroeun, in fact, page rank is important for website or blog.
And Thanks all for encouraging me to keep up my posting. I will not stop my blog. And then I will transfer my domain name from Yahoo to Godady. Because i will pay less for Godady.
Vutha, Please don’t worry about PR. As everyone knows Google doesn’t give any better authority to PR any more. PR is down or up, it is common thing. Sometimes, the next update, it will bounce back or even higher. I think next update will be on 12.25.2008 so you can check it again.
I have a lot of site with low PR and high Pr but my low PR sites serp is very stronger than the High Pr. SEO is what your site needs, not really PR.
Now day, Pr is just like blank paper, but Serp is money.
Just keep build more links and post more contents. Forget about the PR, you don’t make anything from PR.
Oh, about Domain at yahoo, just transfer it to godaddy. If you transfer it to godaddy now, you only pay $ 6.99, plus you will get 1 year renewal free. and forget about not renewing it, it is a good and strong domain.
Yes transfer to go-daddy like Phnom Penh says. Regarding pagerank, its probably because of backlinks – if you link to too many different sites, it hurts your google juice. Try WordPress No-Follow Links in Post plugin:
Download: http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/nofollow-links-in-posts.zip
set it to “1″, so after 1 day, Google is told not to follow any out-going links from your site.
Conversely, get other related sites (e.g. sites about cambodia) to link to you.
I don’t agree with Steven on putting No follow. Because if we do that our commentators won’t likely want to visit and comment any more. This is how we should appreciate our value commentators by providing back link in exchange of getting traffic to our blog. Just make sure don’t approve any spam comment and bad link, like casino or porn…ect
You can keep your outbound links and still maintain pagerank by getting other related blogs (like Phnom Penh’s) to link to you – or you can also do this by commenting on their blogs. Google looks at who’s linking to who and you might not be getting enough people linking to you..
Thanks all of you for giving good advice and information. I will follow up some of your ideas.
