Influence of Police and Military plate
In the past and the present time, vehicles bearing police and military license plates make drivers apparently to have power to run across the country. And sometimes traffic police officers dare not stop them, even though they broke the traffic lights. Those like to use the kind of these plates are low and high ranking government officials, including their families and relatives. At the mean time, the riches paid their own money to buy these licenses because it is easy for them to drive anywhere in the country.
In the letter dated 4th February, the national police chief ordered police and military to remove police and military plates from their vehicles. The order will be taking effective in May. If they still do not comply with the orders, they will be facing the punishment.
I always meet and see the cars bearing police and military plates breaking traffic rule. While I stopped at traffic lights, and then most of cars bearing state, police or military license plates seemly use its power to abuse passengers’ right on the public street. Even though, they know that there are traffic jams and they cannot drive though the crow of people but they still honk their car horn to make way for them to go.
Abusing the people’s basic rights on the public streets are the members or relatives of high-ranking officials or the rich who are driving cars bearing police and military plates. Sometimes, they use their parents’ power to trample over the ordinary people.
Most of common people express their pleasure if all police and military license plates are removed from those government officials. And whether the order will be implemented effectively on those high ranking officials.

That is true. Those have to use private license plates like the ordinary people. If these cars belong to the State, they have to be bore State plates. most of vehicles without paying tax, they are used police or military police plates, it is like right-wheeling cars as well.
I agree with BCT, and Cambodia Economy. The vehicles bearing the state, or KHOR MO should be the ones owned by the state or the ministry not by the private as we usually see in Cambodia. A guy like a gang who drives a KHOR MO or state plate seems to be too ridiculous to see by the public eyes.. Wish the new law be implemented successfully and effectively!!!
Everyone shall have a normal plate except for those vehicles and transports belong to the government.
