Khmer News- Cambodian economy
Laptop more popular than desktop
During the last few years, Cambodian youths have started to use laptops instead of desktop computers and the price of laptop is affordable for students and it is easy to carry from place to place.
Cambodia’s computer wholesalers said that the prices for new laptops have plummeted since 3008 2008 leading to a rise in sales of about 40 percent but the sales of desktop is dramatically falling.
Ley Sopheap, president and CEO of Smart Business Group, was quoted by the Post as saying that now, if you have around USD300, you can buy a brand new laptop.
Around 800 to 1,000 units of laptops have been sold per month in Cambodia, including Hewlett and Packard, Acer, Sony and Toshiba from China.

?It is good to hear the increase of laptop users in Cambodia. But I think there is still a problem with the price and accessibility of the internet.
By the way, is it 2008 or 3008 in the second line of your second paragraph?
Thanks for letting me know, it is 2008.
