Third Barcampphnompenh kicked off today
The third Barcampphnompenh kicked off this morning, organized in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, by a small group of young Cambodian volunteers, at University of Puthisstra from 25-26 September, under funding supports from private companies. I was late to arrive at the event this morning because it was raining at around 8am, which was the time I had to leave home and arrive on time before opening remark. Even though, I was late but at least I attended this event.

Attendees are looking at topics on board
In addition, there are a lot of Cambodian university students and expats in Cambodia and from abroad. I noticed that the number of attendees attending the event this year is less than the last year. I felt happy because I had opportunity to meet many people over here who I never met for long time after I quitted my job. And then some of acquaintances and friends asked me why I did not update my blog frequently as what I did before and why I stopped posting content relating to social issues. But I will take my times to restart updating my blog regularly.
When I was talking with a senior official working at this university, he said that the organization of Barcamp this year was not so good and has less attendee than last year.
I did not take note how much topics presented this morning. But there are many interesting topics. The topics I was interested were “How to set up Khmer joomla” presented by staffs from NiDA, and was “how to take beautiful picture” by one photographer, who I did not know his name.
I cannot stay the whole day today, and I will not be able to join the second day of this event because I am busy with my family.

John Week is showing document which he will present.
