One of clothing seller told VOA Khmer that the current Cambodian regime is crueler than Pol Pot regime after more than 100 stalls established several years around the Olympic Stadium were cleared down in Friday by using Military forces who carried shields and electronic batons to protect vendors’ reaction and the main roads were blocked off.

One questions are asked that, why does the government not to find peaceful ways to solve it? And why do they use forces like cruel regime?

Phnom Penh Municipal senior official told the media that areas around the Stadium is belonging to the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport and they need clear all vendors’ stalls in order to build offices for the National Olympic Committee and to build a wall around the Stadium.

In addition, it is doubtful that why did the government allow private company to construct building around the Stadium? And Why do they need to destroy them too? Sometimes, we know that it is injustice for innocent people who are living in this current society.

Some vendors told the VOA Khmer that they appeared to have a little time to carry their goods from the stalls, leaving behind clothes, shoes, belts and other merchandise as they dismantled their metal-roofed shops.
