Vietnamese products to gain Cambodian market share
Most of goods in the market are imported from foreign countries. Not so much products are made in Cambodia. Normally, I noticed that Cambodian consumers always think that Cambodia-made goods have not good quality. How do you think about? Recently, Vietnamese investor is constructing its first supermarket in Cambodia in order to promote and sell their products in Cambodia. It means that it is trying to gain market share.
Z38 Company, which is a member of Vietnamese Business Association in Cambodia, invested US$3 million in constructing supermarket, located on 3,300 square meters along Monivong Blvd. The supermarket will be full with Vietnamese goods.
The company has planned to open another three Vietnam supermarkets in other main provinces such as Siem Reap.
Seng Meng, the supermarket chairman and the association deputy chairman, was quoted by the Saigon news as saying that the Vietnam Supermarket will meet demand of oversea Vietnamese living in Cambodia and the rising number of Cambodian who have loved Vietnamese goods.
