While I was presenting in the last few months and then one of students participated in the workshop asked me if we could make money with a blog. He took examples of many foreign bloggers earning blogging money.

Answering this question, I said “Yes” there are many foreign bloggers have been making money from blog or website. Sometimes, their full-time work are blogging, some just spend part-time to blog at home after their work. I thought that it is not easy to monetize blog for our Cambodians while we just start up our blog and think over money earned from blog. Making blog popular is not happening overnight.

Install blog, we should not think so much of money making, what is important is that we should think that the creation of blog is for funs, hobbies, the sharing of thoughts, opinion, working experience and stuffs. If you think blogging is for money, one day you will give up blog. Your high expectation will make you upset because it does not achieve as you thought.

Blogging for money will make you abandon blog, it is because that you only think about how to make money with a blog rather than focusing on producing the quality content and interesting topic. The small number of buck was made, and then you feel tired of blogging.

Piseth is one of Cambodian bloggers, working for NGO. He is my blog’s regular reader. The first time, I met him at the CloggersCorner. At the mean time, I learned more something related to blog, I now just show the thing with all of you about “Keyword Suggestion” that I learnt from him.

Keyword Suggestion is the tool that you want to know whether what kind of keyword that are frequently searched and shown the several statistics along with the keyword result. For example, you just type word “Cambodia” into the box, then it will show you all the kind of words relating to Cambodia searched by listing down. And then you can define the kind of keyword that you should write in your articles.

It’s very important to define the keyword to place into your text because it is easier to find out your site through keywords.

Before you write content for your blog whether you used to think that what kind of keyword that is frequently searched. Even me, I never thought about that, I now try to learn what I get from Piseth.

I met Teng Somongkol who was the former Cambodian Fulbright Scholarthe second time at the Clogger Corner at Sovanna Shopping Center, the first, I met him at Kosal’s wedding but in very short time.
